WordPress

It’s been a month since PressConf and we’ve got a few lingering takeaways. First is a feeling of gratitude to finally meet so many incredible people at the heart of the WordPress community. These are the agency founders and product builders that are the most invested in the idea of the open source project as a response to democratized publishing. Second is the spirit of partnership that is brimming with excitement and potential among attendees. And third is Rareview’s own commitment to these ideals.

We don’t want to be pollyannaish about the future of WordPress. The community is working through a particularly difficult period of uncertainty and doubt. We heard several stories of lost deals and commercial pullbacks as events in the past year exposed dependencies that had not been widely understood.

We see room for others to step into the breach and build upon the contributions of others. Rareview is one of the agencies rising to meet market demand, and we’re excited to continue advancing the project’s mission.

WordCamp Vienna, the largest WordCamp in Central Europe, concluded a few weeks ago. Our team attended and participated in several sessions, including The Lead Generation Stack: Building a Complete WordPress Conversion Ecosystem, which focused on optimizing conversion funnels and guiding users through defined website stages. It was a well-organized event, and we’re glad to continue our involvement in the WordPress community.
